Eraser Tool

I cut myself out using the pen tool (see another tutorial below for that) and pasted it on the background image, but in order to get small details I used the eraser tool.

The image below is a BIG example of how to use the eraser tool, it was HUGE when I used it there, but I made it tiny to erase small pieces of wood between my hair and have the background image show through.

1. Select the eraser tool, highlited in red on the LEFT.
2. Choose the Layer you want to erase. Highlighted on the RIGHT.

3. Choose your brush. (Highlited in BLUE)

4. Choose Opacity, (Highlighted in GREEN)

I've used the eraser tool in the past to make things seem see-through. To do that:

1. Lower the opacity and erase over the object you want to make half invisible.

Anyone Can Levitate

This is the original picture that I used for my "Anyone can levitate" image. I had to take the kitchen stool out of there, I used the clonning tool sinceI was going to use another image and erase but the other image was too light so it didn't work.

This is the after, I also added the dog and textures.

Found It! Before and After

This was my original image, no editing had gone into it yet.

I adjusted the tones, played around with the curves, erased the white flower pot from the right side, and added the word "love" and ray things coming from the box.

Getting To Your Heart. Windblown Hair Tutorial

This was my background image.

I cut and pasted myself into the backrgound, if you want to know how to cut and paste yourself from one image to another, click on another of my tutorials, where I explain how to do that. I used a bird brush for the brush. I also made my hair look "windblown" and I used brushes for that as well.

1. Click on "layer" on the top left side. Then "new" then "layer". This will give blank layer that you can work on, and also erase if you mess up.

2. Click on the brushes icon on the left. Then select a "hair" brush, if you don't have one, you can look for some at "deviantart.com".

In order to move the "hair" and arrange it at the angle you want, click on the "angle" icon that I highlited in red, if you enter a number like "30" it will rotate the hair piece 30 degrees. You can also rotate it at -30, which will do the opposite than 30.
I added the heart with a "heart brush" I adjusted the curves, and added layers, and this was the final result.

Let Your Imagination Fly. Textures: before and after

My pictures usually have this vintage old looking feel to them, I get that by using textures, and since I've been asked a lot lately about how I get that look, here's a tiny sort of tutorial.

This is the picture before any textures were added:
I chose a texture, copied and pasted it on top of the picture as you can see here:

Then I chose the "Linear Light" option, and it looked like this:

I didn't want the picture to look like the example above, so I changed the opacity to 10, and the result was this: I also added another texture and repeated the same steps.

Jumping Out The Window. Before and After

First I chose the background, I used a picture of clouds that I'd taken a few months ago, then I added the "window" which is actually a picture frame I cut out from a picture I took today.
Then I cut and pasted myself into the picture.

Yes, I'm on top of my nighstand and I had to crop the picture in order to not show my messy room.

I added the birds using brushes, and added the lines to the birds as well.

I played around with the curves and added 4 textures, I set the opacity to 4,5, and 7. And there's the final result.

Summer Blend - Before & After

First I took a picture of myself in my backyard:

I also took other images and cut some objects, like the blender, and some flowers from them to add them to my picture:

After cutting those objects and adding them to my picture I also added a texture and set it to 10% opacity. In order to make it loook as if the flower were inside the blender, I set the opacity of each flower to 77%. I adjusted the contrast, curves, and colors. Finally I added a Vignette and this was the result:
